Quebec integration program for nurses

Hi!

I just want to know how to start with the papers. I have received my kit already ( these are the forms that were sent by the Order from Quebec) but I am not sure on WHOM or WHERE should I send this??? I am at haste on whether I am going to fill it up already because I might make errors and I do not have extra copies for these.

There were no clear instructions on what to do and I did not go under an agency so basically im so CLUELESS..

CAN ANYONE, WITH GOOD HEART, HELP ME WITH THIS ONE??? Any information will sincerely be appreciated.

Thanks a Lot and More Power to Everyone!!!

Regards,

RemNant^__^

hello Remnant! i am also new to this..id like to ask when did u email or contact the "order of quebec"? about how many days or weeks did they respond to your email?

This forum is for nurses working in Canadian environments. We haven't got a clue about what you are asking.

It sounds like some kind of employment agency offering you the world when in fact, Canada doesn't really have a nursing shortage.

What we do have is a shortage of positions. We have nurses working part time that want full time. Jobs in less than desirable areas. Do you fancy working in the Arctic with little support? On some of our reserves with less than ideal working and living conditions for the people who live there? Do you have the language skills to work in a francophone environment?

These are the jobs that are unfilled.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Hi! i emailed the order last May 2011. It took 2 weeks (if im not mistaken) before they responded to me. I just received the kit 2nd week of August.=)

I'm really surprised by the number of Filipino nurses now applying for Quebec. I think there were only two people here a year ago, including me, who were inquiring on how to become a nurse in Quebec.

Enhance Visa Services Inc. in Cebu offered this at their orientation in Cagayan de Oro City, Ozamis, etc. and they continue to invite nurses to pursue this but its not really cleared to me for the details what would be our future there. I already signed up for this because i dont have any experience and I just want to try working abroad. The agency ( Enhance) will just assist their applicants for less hassle with processing the papers.

I have a couple of questions regarding Quebec Nursing program, i hope you could help me.

1. How much salary do they pay for a CPN after completing the integration program while having temporary work permit?

2.And also can we take the intensive High school french for 7 months as alternative for french exam then the OIIQ will still grant you as a Full RN after passing their board exam for RN and permanent residency?

3. Can a beginner in french, like me who only knows english and tagalog, can possibly pass the french exam within 3 yrs of study for french language while working as a CPN?

Forgive me if I have lot of questions. I really need to know more about this Quebec NUrsing Program because I already signed up for this in our agency and I want to make sure of this for my future as well.

Your reply is much appreciated and helpful to most of filipino who signed up for this program. Thank you.....

Sorry steven123 but like you, I'm still here in the Philippines. I think you have a good idea of what to expect in Quebec since you've mentioned the same information that I've been hearing from other nurses who are already there.

It's a good thing that there are services now available to you and more Filipino nurses are actually trying to apply to Quebec unlike a year ago where virtually I had to scour all available Canadian and Nursing forums on the net to find useful information in applying to Quebec. The only difference I can see is that most nurses now are applying as a student or for CAQ for studies (I'm not sure what it is called by MICC). I am applying as a Quebec Skilled Worker.

Good luck!

hi yoopian! do you know of someone who is now in Quebec?

Hi steven!

I have also inquired in this agency and we had the same questions. the problem with this agency is that they do not answer these questions clearly.. like when i asked them if they have testimonials or videos from some nurses who have tried this program. And if its possible for us to pass the french exam within 3 yrs? And on how long are we going to undergo the training? will it be on the 6 weeks or the 5 months training? Apparently, they haven't answered these questions. I was not satisfied with the way they've oriented me so I did not signed up for this program in their agency.

I think it would be better if you have some friends or relatives to contact to in Canada so that whatever happens, you have someone there to help you.=)

Let's hope for the best steven! =)

Yes you are right. Their agent doesn't answer this questions. That's why i'm searching for the answers here in allnurses.com because i already signed up for this. I need to know this clearly so that I know what to expect in the future and so that I can prepare myself for this journey. May God help us...

It would be wrong if you wouldn't check Quebec's Immigration website. Almost all of the answers are there and if it isn't at least you'll know what specific questions you would ask other Quebec nurses if ever you'll have the chance to talk to one.

Good luck guys!
