Just wondering what is the longest anyone has had to wait for I-140 approval?

My history:

joined OGP june 2004

Job offer St Joes phoenix aug 2004

NCLEX pass march 2005

filed for I-140 may 2005

Still waiting:stone

Now I have been told it will be November at least before I travel to US:crying2:

I think I should be in the record books or is there someone out there with the same problem:imbar

Bettyboop: Yup 2 1/2 years is OMG!!!! My papers had been missing in the cracks at Nebraska Service Center. I need to ask for a US Congressman to intervene. After several days of that Congressional inquiry, I got the approval.. Whoaaah!!! Oh well, the good thing is I got a good job here that kept me busy and bother-less on waiting otherwise probably I'm now crazy...:uhoh3: I'm taking Ohio as an entry point though, away from the larger states but been hearing good feedbacks over there... Still waiting for the interview and off I go.;)

Texas :)

letina :balloons: way to go!!!!

Good luck with your interview on April 11th.

Now a year since I passed NCLEX and still no I-140:uhoh21: but english nurse now has her I-140 so things are begining to move.

I passed the NCLEX in August 2005. The papers for I-140 were filed by ogp in september 2005. We are still waiting, waiting, waiting.

We've just been told by ogp that the service center is taking a long time to process, regardless of the fact if an agency sent in the papers or if it's done independently. Hmmm.

But all we can do is be patient and wait. (sigh) :uhoh21:

But I'm hoping against all hope that we don't have to spend another cold, awful winter here....wish me luck!

Well thought I would add my two pennies worth-

I got here after the process took 10 months, arrived here 1st Dec 2005 but wait for this still havent got my green card as there appears to be a problem with processing our application I was on the understanding that all this information was done prior to coming to the US and it was just a matter of them printing the green card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The big problem is I want to break my contract with OGP and if I do that do I loose all chance of staying in the USA??????????????????

How much more can go wrong for me and my family.:angryfire

Oh yes my son had green card interview in London on 13th feb and he got his green card 3 weeks later

Kay, I can't believe all the rotten luck you've had.....you couldn't make it up could you? :o

So what's with the elusive green card? Are you on a temp license right now?

As regards ending your contract with Oh God helP us, I think you have a very good case for getting out of it without any penalty......let's face it, a contract is a two-way agreement, and they haven't kept to their part of the agreement have they? i.e no green card, no assistance when you needed them the most :angryfire .....if anything, they should be compensating you.

Good luck mate, you're in my thoughts a lot, and I'm always following your progress on here......just don't know what to say sometimes, words fail me :icon_hug:

madwife- i have been following your trials and tribulations on here and i have to say- you sure have had a hard time of it (understatement):uhoh21:

I don't quite get how any agency could have sent you to the states without your green card..... they really do seem to enjoy making lots of their slaves, er OOPS i mean employees go through a hard time.

we're totally dependent, aren't we?

please let everyone know how this saga is going to continue.

keep your spirits and your hope up!

I have the green card stamp in my passport but I dont have the official plastic card to show I am an alien resident-and you need this because the stamp in you passport expires. But OGP dont give a dam
