Hi everyone, I'm new in this forum.. I've been reading another similar thread with 400+ pages and phew! the information were so numerous that's why I'm glad this thread was created to particularly focus on Sydney

I am currently preparing my documents to apply for eligibility in NSW. Hope to be able to exchange experiences with you guys. Goodluck to us all

can you pls tell more about what happened to your friend's sister because as I see it this is very unlikely. Only those who failed the bridging will obviously have no fruition because they won't be granted license.
sorry for the late reply to your message
my friend's sister is an IT.she studied in oz for 2 years hoping that she will be granted citizenship or atleast a working visa.sadly, she wasn't able to make it to the number of required points because of the changed list of in-demand professions in oz.so she came back here in the phil and told my friend about it. since he himself experienced the denial of his student visa (for a certificate program), he felt that oz is not for him and changed his mind about re-applying or aiming for the bridging course.i tried to convince him though, because as his friend, i want him to succeed.unfortunately, he said that his decision was final and that he's just gonna aim for the uk.

Meaning, she studied IT for 2 yrs here in aus and not nursing/preregistration. Did she apply for pr herself or was employer nominated? If you're employer nominated points required will be lower.

About your friend, of course he'll be denied a student visa. Coz certificate programs are not cricos registered. And even if he grauated, no employer will sponsor him because certificate programs can be done by locals. Internationals under certificate programs are not needed by aus so they will never be granted a working visa or much more a pr.

thank you very much for the enlightenment..I did try to convince him but he just couldn't be swayed because of his sister.I told him that his sister's case is different from his, so he can't tell if he'll experience the same thing. as far as I know, the jobs for nurses in oz is still on the rise.

My scores were okay , I managed to get 7 above in all 4 components. As for application, I am just following the requirements stated in the Information Booklet for NSW -- http://www.nmb.nsw.gov.au/Info-Booklet/default.aspx and the thread starter's guide in the first page. Hope I can get it all right. Don't worry, I will surely follow this thread and share you all my step by step experiences

Wow your friend was sure brainwashed. I feel so sorry for him. He's wasting a very good opportunity. IT has absolutely no chance of being a pr here. And he's not an IT. What does his sister know about being a nurse here anyway or the nursing situation of aus? Gud luck to his UK application then. I bet he has a very slim chance of being a pr there if not none at all.

At least you have plans of going here. Get 7 all in ielts and apply in NBV. It's better there compared with others states coz there's plenty of options.

Hi guys, can anyone share me a sample format of the "Verification of Registration and Certification of good professional standing"? PRC is asking me to provide them with the form. There is also no form downloadable in the NMBNSW site. Thanks
