    good day everyone!

I already passed my IELTS (thank God)! and im ready to finalize my requirements for sending. but is there anyone here who's applying for NSW and Victoria at the same time? To be honest im now pondering on applying for Victoria as well because of the uncertainties in NSW esp. now that ive learned that the BP course in college of nursing already cancelled their july and sept. batch. Im thinking, since national registration will be implemented come july this year, I can take a BP in another state like Victoria (because applications are seemingly processed faster here than in other states and BP course will be more likely kept) and do a job hunt in NSW (where my relatives live) afterwards. Will that be possible, guys? any prons and cons about doing such? any insights will be appreciated. Thank you. .
may i ask where you took the IELTS and if it was under IDP or British Council?

Grats Astro! I only applied in NSW since I have a sister who is a PR there...yes the BP in the College of Nursing did cease but they also said after July we will know whether they are re-opening it again or will have a new program offered for that matter but for sure there will be an available pathway for foreign nurses to be able to come in, we just don't know yet what it is. Well if you have the means why don't you apply at Victoria too especially now that you have all your requirements at hand

I agree miks, money matters here...i guess ill ask for some donation first. hays..lol. ill talk with my aunt first regarding this, and if she's willing to shoulder the expenses, then it won't be a problem. lol since she's bugging me to go to OZ ASAP I prolly give her some headaches first. haha. THANK YOU miks for always responding, I really appreciate it. Lord is with us. *wink*

I agree with miks. If you don't mind paying the assesment fee for both, then why not? You'll have two options.not bad!

Thank you Julia.I might give it a try, but I'll ask for my aunt's opinion first then ill decide. and I took my IELTS under british council again. I just learned yesterday that I passed and got at least 7 on all subtests, and I actually got a higher overall bandscore this time, God is good my friend. When are you retaking yours? I'll be praying for you.

aww.. salamat. but honestly, I wasn't really sure if I'm gonna make it. I find my previous exam easier than the last one. And there were times that I stumbled in my listening test, believe it or not, I had 8 missed questions and I left it blank. lol I was like talking to God at that very moment to fill up those spaces for me. hehe and it actually pays to talk to Him that way. more genuine. whew but there are more steps of the process to accomplish. haha We're getting there, i hope.
i wish a positive causatum for you on your IELTS. i know you're working hard for it.

  10. HI. Good day everyone. Got my initial assessment from NMB-NSW. It states that I may not be eligible for the BP. I emailed them regarding this and this is their reply: they have actually received all the necessary documents and my papers are already with the case officer. Unfortunately, there was also a statement that said that on the council's discretion, applicant's from the Philippines cannot be granted the eligibility because most students coming from the Phils study only for 10 years before entering the university (they mean, Elementary for 6 years, and HS for 4 years). Australian education requires 13 years of study before they can enter the university. I already told them that I also underwent 13 years of study (because of 3 years pre-schooling) and asked if I can send additional docs but they said that it wouldn't be necessary. They also said that Universities here are not similar to Australian Universities. They gave me other options though: 1.) apply as an enrolled nurse 2.) do further study and enter as a post-graduate -- I have already inquired about this and it means that I'm going to study for 2 more years!! Tuition is soaring high as 12,000 AUD per semester!!! However, they also told me that the assessment is not yet final, and I should wait for their final assessment. But thinking about it, it seems that they aren't going to grant me that BP eligibility. I guess i'll just have to wait after July 1st for the new registration scheme.
