I have asked alot of people but no one seems to know so i decided to join this forum to see if anyone can help me with any relevant information.
When you finish school there get your RN License first in Ghana. The migration process coukd take up to 1 year and you need to be an RN first to be considered for employment.
You then do a credential evaluation, look up requirements for the state you moving too. WES is pretty well known evaluator. Then start applying for jobs with employers
willing to be your sponsor - international staffing agencies may do this - this is the most difficult part. Once you do get hired you should be able to work on an HB 1 work visa.
You can immigrate first if your relatives want to sponsor you, how long that takes depends on the closeness to the relative by blood relation. However YES definitely get your RN license there in Ghana first before moving or starting this process. Check uscis.gov for immigration options .Check the state board of nursing for nclex and license options
