for il licensure exam, all documents should be sent to cts.

for il licensure thru endorsement, send to idpr.

if missent, maybe it will help to send an email to forward the documents to the proper recipient.

for the fingerprint card, send it (and the service fee) to the fingerprint card scan vendor listed in the application packet (such as identix) and not to the illinois state police. [/quote

it is not indicated in the packet the address of fingerprint card scan vendor. can provide me the address of identix? and the amount that i should be sending? and the amount should be in the form of what? bankdraft? thanks.:saint:

i thought this issue concerning what english language is accetable in illinois either TOEFL or IELTS has already been resolved. i read some posts stating that IELTS is already acceptable in IL. Hi, suzzanne, please explain & elucidate us about this particular issue of english language in IL either TOEFL, IELTS or both are ok. I really find no reason why one is acceptable while the other one is not? Likewise, i don't think so both are competing with each other and the other one has a full back up? Based on my experienced, I'd rather prefer IELTS because it is personalize rather than just hearing tapes or through the internet. that is only my personal opinion. thanks! KING

Hi, gwapo! i thought you left already for the states? I have been following your posts in another thread which i find it very interesting. Anyway, i am a little bit disturbed about reading some posts stating that only TOEFL is accetable in ILLINOIS. I think in this situation, maybe it depends only on the facility if what english language they will accept. I came accross the internet throught the Gov't of IL that they singled out that TOEfl is the only english language is acceptable. Citing your 2 friends where they took IELTS & accepted by the facility. it is a little bit confusing here.

just. KING!

which do you prefered? toefl ibt or toefl cbt?

you may want to check the website of ets. i think toefl ibt will replace toefl cbt starting june in manila, binan and cebu.

toefl cbt does not have the speaking test, toefl ibt has.

toefl cbt and pencil/paper test are being phased out by ets worldwide.

toefl ibt is the new test.

Presently, IL accepts toefl as a requirement for their application for licensure by exam. I also have a friend who took IELTS and now working in IL. She took ielts+cgfns exam for her CP certificate, which was previously been required by IL.

according to the official announcement in the website of idfpr, it is toefl which is the only english test accepted by idfpr for licensure in il. you can find it here: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/who/nurs.asp

and here: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/forms/cgfns_02.pdf

this toefl requirement is repeated in the application form. no mention whatsoever of ielts there.

ielts, however, is accepted by cgfns in issuing a visascreen certificate for immigration purpose of the applicant.

you may want to send an email to idfpr for confirmation. http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/who/nurs.asp

the list of vendors is on the last page (white paper not green). in the website, there is also an application packet which includes that list.

fingerprint card should be requested directly from the idfpr (not from the vendors). it will arrive within 10 to 15 working days. if in manila, fingerprinting can be done in nbi carriedo.

identix is one of the vendors. you can send an email to identix for the instructions and the fee required for fingerprint card scan. you will receive a reply after a couple of days.

hi kiko88, yes! i have already came accross this link since feb. of this year through the internet stating that toefl is the only english exam needed in il. however, i'm again confused if that is the case, why are some applicants who took ielts were accepted in some il facilities if the department of financial & professional regulation (chicago) really meant of their pronouncement. somebody should clarfy on this. king!
