    hey...

i was assessed by the college of rn of british columbia and my education and credentials were deemed to be equivalent to what the province requires. i too am a 2nd courser (acntng). finished nursing in 2.5 years...best of luck to you. you can do it
where are you planning to locate? i am sure that you will not have a problem finding a job because all areas are in need of experienced nurses.

    hi rafaeltoney:

congratulations that your evaluation went through. i am currently in the same process only that youre one step ahead. im just wondering if you had your credentials evaluated thru wes (its an evaluation accepted by crnbc) or you just submitted your transcripts straight to crnbc and they evaluated it for you? (coz in their website, it says "if" the applicant is unsure if his/her credentials meet...a link will provide you to wes for your credentials to be evaluated"). i most certainly feel that my credentials will be approved since i didnt go thru those shortcut schools but at the same time, i just want to know the proper process. and since youve experienced it, care to share? also, are you applying within bc? or are you still in another country outside bc? just wondering actually (since ill be applying within bc as a resident)
i am curious why is everyone heading to bc?

hi! which state in canada has many employers as of the moment? what about vancouver?

i have heard that alberta is looking for some good nurses, but anymore everyone is looking for good nurses. you just need to decide what type of weather and what type of town you would like to live in.

am really thankful for the info that soundbites are sharing!!! truly my queries are answered while i was reading the responses imparted from his actual experience.

in my case, i downloaded crnbc forms from the web last may 2008 and filled them up, gave the request forms to the school i graduated from here in the philippines and to prc(regulatory body in my country). the request forms are ready to be mailed to crnbc except that i personally pleaded to the 2 institutions to postpone it yet since i will still be writing the ielts exam this aug.30. do you think i can forward my crnbc application as early as now, along with the payment for processing. then advice the 2 institutions to submit the requests after 2 weeks? by then my ielts result will follow. will the crnbc interrogate me regarding the dates reflected on the request forms (from my school and prc)...they might wonder why the request forms were sought early and mailed so late.

my family and i will be leaving for canada next month and stay at my husband's lola at port alberni for the time being, so with regards to the necessary address in case of mailings from crnbc then i already have that. please extend your advice to me on this regard. thank you & god bless!

doesn't matter if your ielts arrives after you have sent your application as i doubt your application will be looked at until all relevant information has arrived. i would go ahead and send in your application
