I'm from the Philippiens. I passed the California-NCLEX. Since I'm having problems acquaring a valid SSN, I'm planning to endorse my California-NCLEX to State of Vermont just so that I could get a permanent license in US. Supposed I already got RN license in Vermont and already working there as a nurse, is it still possible for me to reaaply my NCLEX in California (without having to retake the test) eventhough it has long been expired? My relatives are in California and I want to be as closed to them as possible. I will apprecaite any form of response.:)

find rocket bombers procedure that he made here!!! all the steps you need was there,, print it so you'll have a hard copy of it,, i was also confused like you before,,

follow the link they have posted in here and you have to print it so you'll be guided. and then go the cgfns.org made an account, it's a step by step process there choose credential evaluation (CES) after filling up the form, choose the full course by course which is 385 dollars,, they reccomend you to pay by credit card.. there you will find the link to print the license verification form ( you need to go to the PRC and let them fill it up and pay necessary fees) and the request of transcripts ( here, go to your nursing school, and let them fill it up and pay necessary fees) both PRC and your school will be sending the papers you gave them to the CGFNS for the credential evaluation or CES..when the cgfns received all the necessary papers including the HS diploma whic needs to be authenticated( you will be the one to send it) they will start to process your papers, they wont proces it unless you have paid the 385 dollar fee.. it will take about several weeks before the cgfns will send your CES to vermont.. after that you have to apply to the vermont, you need to print it ( the link was posted from the previous thread just find it here) follow the instructions there ..

where can i find the link to print the license verification form and the request of transcripts??

about the diploma,.

can i use certified copy? and not the original,. because original copy cost 1k.. too expensive.. LOL..

hi louieb,. i found rocketbomber procedure,. thanks again,.

hi yxta16

yes!! you have to request the candidate report where you took the NCLEX, just dont forget the 10 dollar fee( bank draft) when you request it,,after you got it send it together with the endorsement application to vermont together with the 150 dollar fee..

the license verification form and the request of transcripts, you can download that when you made an account to the cgfns.org, you will see that there!!

yes, the photocopy of your HS diploma will do but be sure you have it authenticated by the school registrar.

I'm about to send my HS diploma tomorrow at the cgfns..

hi, one more concern, i already have an employer in cali and my immigrant petition was apporoved. as we all know there is no available visa,. so is there any bearing if i endorse the result of my exam in VT. i got petition for passing nclex.. thnks

about the the license verification form and the request of transcripts, is it the Credentials Evaluation Service Applicant Handbook (22 April 2010) ???

this is the one i will fill up?

thanks much,.

Poor Vermont!

Everyone wants a Vermont license, but nobody seems to actually want to work there.

Sooner or later the Vermont BON is going to figure out that they are spending a lot of time and resources for nothing...

IMHO I think Vermont does earn on the payment of NCLEX Pass Endorsements. Imagine of the sheer number of people who will be applying for a license? And the sheer amount of money they will pay them.

Thank you for the reply,, but

no, i mean if my files are already at the vermont,, are they gonna give me the license??.. of course california wont give me the license because i already endorsed it to vermont,, by that time california will consider my application abondoned and not active anymore.

You are actually not endorsing anything if you in the first place doesn't have the license to endorse. CA doesn't care if you will have a license in VT. You just need the copies of your NCLEX Pass letter and the one with your Photo from CA. They will not track if you have abandoned your application to them (CA) because all they will do is wait for the time period (3 years) that you did not submit your SSN to them, and then they will destroy your file and "consider" it abandoned.

Thank you for the reply!!

thats ok for me because for now i still cannot work for im still here in the philippines and dont have employer to get me out of here :(, the only reason why im gonna transfer it to vrmont is just to prevent it from expiring,, i dont wanna take another NCLEX exam it's traumatic and it's sooo expensive..

wow really, are they gonna send me the real license card if i met the requirements!! thats a lot for me!! i have more questions:::

1.is it a good idea if i transfer it to vermont now?,, since it will expire november 2011.. or should i wait few months more before i start transferreing it? ohh the question is how long is the processing before it's being done?

2. why do some employers dont require my fellow nurses here in PI to to take the IELTS exam though they're not US citizen? i heard 2 of my friends are not gonna take IELTS coz their employer insist not to.. im hesitating to take the exam now..

3. i do know, that before they process the Visa screen certificate the two important requirements are NCLEX result and the IELTS score.. how do they process the VSC if they lack the IELTS score?

The IELTS score expires in 24 months from the release. Your employers don't want to waste money as they know that it "may" take more than 24 months before retrogression will be lifted.

Here is the requirement for you to be petitioned by an employer:

The Registered Nurse must possess:

A full unrestricted permanent license to practice nursing in the state of intended employment. A temporary license to practice nursing in the state of intended employment is not sufficient.

A CGFNS certificate issued by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (The alien must have received the CGFNS certificate). Proof that the alien has passed the CGFNS nursing skills examination is not sufficient, as the nursing skills examination alone does not verify that the alien has a level of proficiency in the English language to perform the duties of a registered nurse in the United States.)

or

Evidence that the foreign national nurse has passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

You don't need an IELTS that will expire soon if you have your US RN license already as it is enough for them to submit your EB3/I-140.

It is best to submit to VT now as the requirements could change any minute. A friend of mine procrastinated on submitting to VT and now caught with the CGFNS CES requirement (that costs big bucks!). Who knows maybe they will also require an english exam. So, do the endorsement ASAP.

thank you relloydRN for answering my questions!!!

now im working on transferring my files to vermont!!! but just yesterday, someone told me that there's an employer from florida willing to help!! how can i decide, im confused if im gonna continue transfer my files to vermont to get a real license from vermont... but how if, the employer from florida wants me to work there... !! ohh nursing life!!

The best thing to do is to ask that employer on what steps you should take on your license. What type of visa will they give you? If they are willing to shoulder the expenses on your licensing to florida then that's great. I am not familiar on how to endorse the NCLEX pass to florida though but your employers should know.

I'm just curious on what type of visa they will give you though.

HI,. question,. do Vermont have same physical and mailing address??

which is National Life Bldg, North FL2, Montpelier, VT 05620-3402 ???

thanks,..

what do you think,, if the employer is offering 14 dollars/hr. but they will shoulder all the expenses, like the plane ticket and 3 months free boarding house if ever when i get to florida? what do you think about the 14/hr?
