Canadian LPN/RPN to work in the U.S

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if a Canadian LPN/RPN(registered practical nurse) can work in the U.S? I've been reading past forums however they're not up to date. I was wondering if anyone knew if the the laws have changed? Are there states that are less strict than others? I really want to work in the U.S and don't know if I can stay in Canada for another 3 years to obtain my RN degree. Any information would be helpful! Thank you!

LPN will not meet immigration/work permit requirements. Work permit requires minimum of BSN. Many nurses both RN and LPN are struggling to work in the US already so being international will be harder to find employer
