This forum is for discussing topics and for sharing of ideas, not for becoming argumentive with someone because you do not like their opinion.

None of us are immigration lawyers, and there are many more than the one that keeps being named in this thread. He is entitled to his opinion, and posts the same on his website. This is only his opinion, and not the rulings of the US Immigration Dept...and it says so right on his site.

I am going to ask once more politely that you refrain from abusive remarks to others. This is part of the TOS of http://www.allnurses.com.

Its sad and unfortunate that you are still waiting even after 3 years! Are you sure that your employer (agency) filed it on correct time? Atleast I know one case, where the agency lied to nurse that they had filed but didn't. It turned out to be that the agency lost the client and they were just 'sitting' on it till they get another client (hospital).

Hope this is not true in your case and wish you will get approval soon.

I don't think that 50,000 new visa number is enough to ease the backlog? FYI my PD is April 2002 (visa bulletin June 2002) and still don't have my schedule for interview :crying2: .

My apologies if you think that I am argumentive with someone. This forum besides for discussing topics and sharing ideas it also seeks TRUTH. I think all the people here would really like to know what is really happening and what is likely going to happen on the future based on FACTUAL EVIDENCE and truthful sources. Every fact that should be discussed here should be supported by evidence so that the validity of the matter can be confirmed.

Like for example that you said before that there are many nursing graduates who happen to have a tourist visas in the U.S. and in short time will have an EAD and then go for AOS. What is your evidence to support your opinion? Did you check the Department of State how many tourist visas were issued and how many of them are graduates of nurses? Can you provide statistical facts on these matter? In matters that we are discussing here, like this 50,000 visas would not be enough...What is your proof when you do the math? When in fact people who mastered laws in immigration and the U.S. Congress have claimed that this can end the nurse retrogression temporarily from the PIC countries and that visa numbers would be good enough for three years.

So tell me what is your experience in predicting numbers Suzanne? Is it the 5,488 posts you made here? Or your being Super Moderator that makes you superior that you can ban me here because of the TOS?

I think opinions and discussions are the most vital part of this forum here. You cannot expect that all people would agree on you and believe on you when in fact you have no basis at all. It simply goes on what you think and what you believe.

Now I answer others because I want to clarify things based on the law so that other people can decide what is the truth. Besides if you are the moderator...you should not be biased on any other opinion. Ofcourse it is on your sole judgement alone that you think I made some "abusive remarks". Or you are just afraid of others who disagree with you because they are smart?

America is a free country where freedom of speech and expression is a right.

Still I am so sorry. I hope I did not upset you. This would be my last post.

Cheeerrssss Dale...

It was really good from u. Through out my experience in all nurses and immigration portal, Dale had given wonderful information regarding immigration and all his predictions and conclusions were accurate according to me and my lawyer. He is really smart just as an immigration lawyer or more than that........

And I really don't think he was abusive anywhere.. Come on Suzane this forum is for sharing knowledge and predictions too.... So arguments have to be there... that is the way we will get to know genuine stuffs.

Dale I would request u to not leave this place because of some stupid comments made by somebody. Why should u care for that when we are all here to support u.

We all would need u here... Hope to see u soon.

I can't take the pessimistic comments of Suzane anymore thanks

Suzanne has given a lot of really good advice, She says what she does so no one will get their hopes up then dashed because things do not go their way. She is being realistic. 50,000 visas will not go far and will not help any shortage I see it as a short filler just to please the senate. I am in the UK I am not affected by the regression but I am still waiting to be processed and I have been at it 2 yrs, I get frustrated but just have to get on with things and wait for immigration. How long do you think it is going to take to process the 50,000 visas plus al the other visas that are going on. I don't think it will be over night like a lot of people on here seems to think it will be

Just my personal take on things and I thank Suzanne for the advice she has given me

Can you answer the following questions.

1. Are you born from one of the PIC countries?

2. When did you get your visa screen certificate:rolleyes: and what is your Pd?

3. How were you able to say that you are not affected by retrogression when you are waiting to be processed for two years and you get frustrated of waiting? For what?

The 50,000 visas are only for Schedule A, immigration lawyers say that there would be a separate category for them probably when the July visa bulletin is published. Well I am not going to worry how the Department of State or CIS would distribute them but they should act in accordance with the law. One more thing if you say that these visas were just a FILLER TO PLEASE THE SENATE...can you tell me who pleases the senate? Where did you get that information or it is only based on your assumption? Just ask yourself one simple question...Why would they create a law if it will not solve the problem when it was been clearly stated by the Department of Labor, American Hospital Association, AILA and many other organizations that they have acknowledge that there is a severe nursing shortage? And this recapturing of visas would solve the retrogrossion of nurses from the PIC countries.

I am not bringing any HOPES UP...I am just expressing my opinion based on FACTUAL EVIDENCE unlike some people, they are basing their opinions on their own thoughts without any evidence to support their claim. So what is the basis of such claims? Is it because someone is a U.S. citizen and have lived all their lives in the U.S. to say that they are 100% right? How about those lawyers that have studied for years and mastered the law, worked with thousands of immigrations cases and expressed their opinions BASED ON ACTUAL RESEARCH OF THE LAW, based on statiscal facts, based on factual evidence...Who would you believe?

LAWS are made to solve problems of the country, to clarify things, to put things in order...we may have different opinions in any matter but only time will tell what would happen. We cannot dictate anyone what to believe AND WE CANNOT TELL ANYONE TO LOSE HOPE and tell them this is reality without evidence. Hope is the only thing that fuels our drive. I think every foreign nurse applying in the U.S. has only one thing in mind...TO FULFILL THEIR AMERICAN DREAM. So tell me why are you applying in the U.S. when you are already in the U.K.? And tell me why did you get frustrated? The fact the you are waiting for two years is a reality that you are HOPING that one day your american dream will be fulfilled. That is a fact that you have said.
