IELTS must be at the academic level.

Most nursing schools in the Philippines are not considered equivalent to Canadian university education.

Correct me if I am wrong but last time I checked CNO accepts General IELTS as well, unless they recently changed it to Academic only.

    CNO accepts both categories.

Guys let us not post unevidence-based information because it will bring confusion for those applicants who will be or currently having their initial assessment.

To those applicants, call/email CNO or any regulatory body regarding your concerns because no one here can give you an accurate answer base on your queries, and all are experience-based information.

    Goodluck

I've already called CNO customer service and they said they both accept Academic or Training IELTS.

Exactly as I remembered. They do accept both module whether it is Academic or General. And if you have completed your nursing education in an english speaking country or you have worked for at least a year in an english speaking country, you will be exempt from the language requirement test.

I know CNO is the only College that accepts General IELTS.

Hi I am in the same situation. I applied in June 2011, got a request for the additional package of documents in Dec. there were licenses confirmation requirements and work experience papers. The CNO got all papers in the middle of Jan. how long should I wait for the decision from your opinion? Does it mean that the CNO ready to evaluate you as RN not RPN if they sent the requirements for the second package? Thanks

In my situation, it took four months after submitting all the additional docs to receive the final decision.
They evaluate you as your application requests.
I am preparing for October exam and already submitted IELTS.
