Does it depend on the size of the hospital as well? Thank you for your help!

Feb 2, '10 by juan de la cruzThere are many types of practice models even in a single hospital. Some NP's report ultimately to a physician director or chief but may have a lead NP who oversees the entire group of NP's within the practice. Some NP's report solely to a physician who may not hold an administrative position within the hospital. Some NP's report to the nursing service department and may have a nurse manager as a boss. There are probably other variations to these models and the exact percentages of where NP's fit in these models are not really well published.
