Hi, my name is Jessica. I graduated with my BSN in May 2010. I worked in Post Partum, Labor & Delivery, and Nursery in a small hospital on nights for 1.5 yrs before accepting a position in acute dialysis this past January. I feel that I am at the right point in my life to go back to school and earn a master's degree, however I am unsure what to go back for. I have no med/sug or critical care experience and I am unsure if that will play a role in securing a job once I am finished with school. I have given thought to Clinical Nurse Specialist or Leadership/Administration, but I honestly don't know what my best options would be given by minimal experience and age (24). Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could return to school for? I am really open to anything at this point. Also, would it be best to earn my degree from a University such as Alabama, or even my local university (McNeese State), or are degrees from accredited online places widely accepted these days? Thanks in advance for the guidance.
