Preparation for AANP exam

I posted this in another area on this forum with no responses, so I decided to post here in hopes of getting some answers :-)

My exam is in a few days, and as I prepare, I am freaking out big time! it's to the point where I can only sleep in short spurts, and I have to force myself to eat because my nerves are so bad! I guess I'm so nervous because I dont really know what to expect on the exam. I've been doing lots of review questions from Fitzgerald (listened to her CDs and went through her entire review book), Hollier's Q&A book (even though many of the questions were repetitive), in addition to the familynpprep.com questions too. I am seeing a lot of health policy, theory, and some research type of questions on that website; I was under the impression that the AANP does not really test on that. For those of you who have taken the AANP exam, did you find some theory/research/health policy questions on there in addition to the clinical stuff? If so, where is a good place to review that information?

A lot of members lurk here but I think the questions u might encounter on the aanp may be some ethical delimma s that u should be able to easily figure out, I expect research to be what is specificity or sensitivity, informed consent,etc. theory I've just been going over learning theory's from Piaget, social learning. It looks like u got everything for amble studying. I don't know whenever I get crazy about the test and I talk to myFriend who has taken it last year says its not as bad as u think...the first 20 questions r the hardest...and I'm going to take frequent break. Think about what the question is asking

You will find some ethical type questions on the exam dont focus too much about the research when it comes to AANP. I also recommend studying 2 hours at a time with 1 hour mental break. I know this is hard but as your test approach you need to relax. I took walks, cooked and did everyday activities that briefly distracted me from the exam. My plan was focus, focus, distract, and focus. I know that you are prepared and I trust that we all will be celebrating with you soon. I am lifting you up in prayer and I know that God will not fail you now. Just study, prayer, and speak your success into existence. I called myself FNP-BC/NP-C for weeks before my exams...LOL.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do right now! Lol.....and yes I do study in chunks like that. It helps me retain the info better. Thanks for all the support!
