Part time NP- Is it worth it?

  1. 0 I'm nearing the time to apply for NP school but need advice... I have a 2 year old and plan to have one more child. While they are in grade school (maybe longer) I'd like to work part time. My question is, is it worth becoming an NP to work part time? Are there many job opportunities? I just don't want to finish school and regret it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, i think there are opportunities out there for part time NPs, although it may be tough to get as a new grad without experience... I love being an NP and would love to have the freedom of working part time if I start a family. There are per diem positions as well.
