Hello all, I have been attempting to do a little research regarding which state would be best for licensure for overseas employment. I am currently licensed as an APRN in the state of Georgia. Not bad for CME requirements because there are none! My concern is in regards to the DEA license and Rx capability which requires a tremendous amount of MD supervision. This is not a concern working for uncle sam as the government issues a DEA for government workers. I am however looking to go contract, which will require obtaining a DEA. Obviously my GA license will not work as I do not function under MD collaboration or supervision.
Requesting input regarding a recommended state to seek APRN licensure which would address my concerns. Thank you for any input, Jim

Do you mean like at a military hospital?
Btw although GA may not require CME doesn't your certification organization require CME to recertify?
