Did anyone buy a drug guide for nurse practitioners either for school or practice? If so, any suggestions? Thanks!

Most people like to use a smartphone/electronic reference like LexiComp or Micromedix or such. These platforms remain up-to-date unlike their hard copy counterparts.

I use UpToDate/Lexi for practice.

I just used free apps on my phone such as Medscape or Epocrates. I did buy the EMRA Abx app for $15. It's ok, but not as useful as I had hoped. There is no room in my pocket for another book, so apps are the way to go for me.

Yeah, books are so 'last century'...lol. Apps are the way to go! Look at a few different ones and see which one you like best...then get it.

When i was a student, my school provided us with Epocrates. In practice, i use Harriet Lane handbook app and MPPR. Sometimes i use the Red Book, if i can't find what i need in the other 2 sources.

I use Epocrates but I loved APEA's drug book. You look up an illness/disease and it lists what medications are most commonly given with dosages. Used it in clinical and started using it in practice.
