NP specialty

  1. 0 Does anybody know if there is a good job outlook for ACNP's in Texas in the next few years?
Is there any advantage for specializing in acute care vs. family or adult NP? Any info would be
    appreciated. Thanks,

I think it really depends on what you want to do.. It seems that there are a lot of hospitals looking for NPs lately (at least in Tennessee). If you know that you want to work in a hospital then acute care would be fine. Another option would be to take the family or adult NP tract and then add a specialty CME type one week Acute care class..... I have seen several advertised lately.
