NP/FNP Certification Review Book Suggestions?

by ccuRNinTN Premium Member

Getting close to graduation from FNP school (yayy!) There are so many different review books for FNP students, and they are SO TERRIBLY expensive. I can only afford to buy 1 book at this present time....any suggestions on review books that you really enjoyed? Disliked?

Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Prep Exam books (any titles, preferrably not too terribly outdated)

Anyone just have any lying around that they no longer use................or know where to get them fairly cheap online? (Some of the prices are OUTRAGEOUS, and I do not have much $$$$$$ to spend!)

Thanks!

Maybe ask for review books or $ for a graduation present? The certification exam is expensive and necessary so this is not the time to be too thrifty.

I bought the Fitzgerald CDs and accompanying book on ebay for 1/2 the msrp of $500ish. I am glad I didn't pay that much, but it would have been worth it. I don't think it would be nearly as helpful without the book though. I just bought the Hollier practice question book as well due to the good reviews, although I haven't opened the Amazon box yet. I did find that on ebay as well, but I wanted a new one with no chance of questions already being answered. That was worth a few dollars more to me...I think I paid $40 for it. Hollier also makes a review book. I can't remember if she also made audio CDs.

Good luck!!!! When do you graduate?
