by pokey_2010 Jun 12, '11Hi Everyone!
I am getting to graduate as a new FNP. I have about 12 years of experience as an R.N. I live in a state where FNPs are autonomous and do not need collaborative agreements. I would like to move to another state that also allows NP independent practice. My understanding is NH is one of these states. My uestions are (that is not a typo my kew button just broke!):
Are FNPs truly independent practitioners in your state?
Do you have full prescriptive authority?
How is the job market for NPs? Are NPs in demand?
How is the job market for R.Ns?
What is the average salary for NPs and R.Ns?
Do any of you work in the tristate area?
Are your hospitals more liberal or conservative? Dress code, tattoo's, practice restrictions?
How are the school systems for those of you with kids?
Are you from the East Coast or NH and do you love it?
If you would be willing to give up a little time to help me with these uestions (Darn it!) I would really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for all of your help!!
Sarah
