New grad APN-- Collaborative agreement?

  1. Hello! I am a new grad APN, have just been offered my first job and am a little fuzzy on the details of what I do now! My question is in regard to how most collaborative agreements are drawn up - should my employer provide this? Or do I need to formulate something?

I'm in IL and our state requires a collaborative agreement. My practice provided it. It needs to include whatever the state BON says it needs to. Our state's APRN organization has one that meets our requirements on their website. I would suggest looking at the BON or your state's APRN organizations sites.

    Best wishes

My employer provided it and the organization with whom I work is well versed in our needs and their liability. Please be sure to understand your state's practice act, what is considered safe to perform and order, and what is considered authorized by delegated acts. You will not be protected under their licenses if you practice outside of your scope.
