by ruralgirl08 Sep 7, '12I live in an rural area, so the local job prospects aren't that abundant. I currently work in the OR, but I need to commute and take call, which keeps me more away from home.
I want a day job, little weekends, more autonomy. I was thinking about NP, nursing home management, public health, case managment, education, ect. There are few of these positions around, and when they do show up they are competitive. I currently have a BSN, I think I would really like being an NP, but I also take the chance of not finding a job here near home, and I am nicely settled here. What type of graduate degree would make me the most versatile?
