is it a easy transition from FNP to ACNP?

  1. 0 I got accepted to an FNP program and was wondering if its an easy transition to ACNP or the courses are completely different? I'm sure the clinicals are more intense then regular Med surgical. I know its 2 separate exam but I want to know how much different. Thanks for your help.

It's just different. How difficult the transition would be would depend, I imagine, on your background in nursing. I had many years of ICU experience so found ACNP a good fit. On the other hand I'm useless with peds stuff or general family practice type stuff because I've never done it. Although my program and clinicals prepared me well for ACNP, I found my critical care background was the key to success.
