Grad School Options for student nurse who loves L&D

Hi!

I am in my second to last semester of nursing school and I have just recently discovered my love for labor and delivery nursing and I think I would really like to work in this area. I have also made a goal for myself to become a nurse practitioner. My question is what types of NP options are out there for someone who wants to work in this field? I have looked at nurse/midwife, but the state that I live in doesn't use midwives. Would there be a difference in doing FNP vs. WHNP? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!
