Going through APN school

Hello,

Due to the new grad market in so cal, it seems i might graduate as a CNS-Gerentology without ever working as a registered nurse in a facility setting (only job was flu clinic for flu season). I have over 7 years experience with the elderly and the school has a great clinical program. I decided to continue with school, thinking i would get a job soon after moving to southern California...........not! Has anyone gone through APN school without working as an RN? What do you think of this situation?

Any advice would be appreciated.................
