Earache in catheter thrombosis

  1. 0 I'm currently doing a lecture regarding central venous catheter and i have encountered the complications of CVCs include thrombosis. And that one of its symptom is earache and jaw pain. I've been trying to locate the reason behind this but couldn't find any. can anyone explain to me how ear ache and jaw pain develop when there is thrombosis? does it have to do with the placement of the catheters? Thanks!
