Desperate for NP preceptor in NJ/Delaware area.

  1. 0 Help! I am in southern NJ and am desperately looking to find a preceptor for Family Nurse Practitioner. Hoping to start clinicals in August 2012, and would like to find someone who will take me 2-3 days per week. Am a student at Frontier Nursing University (formerly Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing), which pays a total of $2000 to my preceptors. Please message me asap if willing and able.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Patti,

Sorry I can't help with your request but was wondering if you would share some info on FNU. I am graduating from an ADN program in December and am seriously considering FNU. Thank you and good luck!

I wish I could help as well, but I'm just starting out myself a couple states away. During the last semester of school, I remember I had to look for a preceptor myself in a different city where I moved to. The hospital systems were usually a hot mess when I tried to get hours (and the hours in a specialty I wanted). I really wanted to work outpatient anyways. So, I eventually search the area for clinics that had openings for NP/PA/MD/DO jobs and asked the HR dept. if they would be willing to take on a student. Fortunately, I did get a reply from a clinic and was very happy with the experience. They also had a part time position open when I graduated, but I needed full time for loan repayment purposes... Good luck with the search!
