How long did it take to get your initial DEA? There are older posts on here from several years ago saying 1-2 weeks. The DEA website says 4-6 weeks. I already am starting to have patients book with me so I really need it soon and am approaching the 2 week mark. I am in the Midwest. Tried calling the regional office got a full voice mail box and cannot leave a message.

I got mine in less than a week, but I've really heard anything between 1 to 6 weeks. :/ Sorry if that's not really helpful. I hope you get it soon.

Definitely within 7-10 days .....northeast area

Northeast too. HR told me it takes 4 weeks but I applied and was responded by email to two days later, I received the license in the mail by the next week. This was a couple weeks ago.

1 week in Texas. When I moved back to the hospital and got schedule 2 authority back, it took 3 days. I think it largely depends on the efficiency of your local/regional DEA office, and the office here in West Texas is awesome.

It depends on your local DEA office. Normally it is pretty quick.
