Dallas, TX NPs

  1. 0 Hi,

I recently graduated Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) program. I took my certification exam two months ago, and moved back home to Boston. However, over the past few months, I have been finding that the Boston job market is extremely saturated. My boyfriend lives in Dallas, TX, so I am curious to explore my options there (he has been trying to transfer to Boston without any luck). I would appreciate if anyone who is familiar with the area would be able to give me a run down on the local hospitals and practices, especially with regard to women's health. I am hoping to work in an ob/gyn outpatient clinic.

Additionally, does anyone have any information about what to expect for a salary as a new grad in Dallas? I have one year of RN experience in a women's health specialty practice, and many years of experience in repro research, women's health volunteering and other advocacy efforts.

I have one offer pending, and I would love to have some more information to make the best decision--if I should stay put, jump for the offer, or relocate and explore what else Dallas has to offer!

Any and all advice is appreciated!
