I am a Candian RN wanting to see if someone out there has some insight in the scope of practice of a PHCNP? My experience includes ER, PICU, and outpost nursing. I trying to figure out if I should apply to a PHCNP or a PNP tract my first love is work with children yet my second love is variety in practice. So I guess what I'm trying to figure out is will the PHCNP still allow me to work with a pediatric poplulation?

The PHCNP program covers across the lifespan so it will allow you to work with a pediatric population. - Mar 9, '12 by juan de la cruzMy understanding is the Canadian PHCNP is the equivalent of the US FNP so yes, it should cover primary care across the lifespan.
