@Penelope99- When do you take the boards? Would you be willing to sell me your Barkley CDs/workbook when you're done with it? Good luck!

Just finished the Barkley FNP review in Tampa. Worth every penny! I will be sitting for boards next month, and have been studying the workbook and listening to the audio. Dr. Barkley offered very good tips for planning your study sessions and mastering the material. I feel more confident in my ability to pass after having attended the live course. For those looking to buy workbooks- doubt you will find many people willing to give up this valuable review tool. It is constructed so that it will be valuable for practice as well.

Good luck!

When I take and PASS, the ACNP board, I will be willing to sell the Adult-Geri Acute Care from both Barkley and Fitzgerald. I am using both the booklets and CDS for each course for preparation.

LubbockNP,

I would be interested in the Fitzgerald ACNP review. I have the Barkley already.

What do you think of the two reviews? Which is better?

Thanks!

kellynp, I have also taken Fitzgerald twice and failed the AANP twice. I have thought about trying Barkley as well. I graduated with a 4.0 and did great in clinical, however like you, I cannot take a test to save my life. I really felt prepared and wasn't really nervous this past time, I was crushed when "Not Passed" appeared in front of me! :(

Comparing the two reviews: I first graduated in Dec 2004 ACNP, then post master's cert as FNP Aug 2005. I took the Fitzgerald ACNP (with Sally Miller, who is freaking awesome) in person, and no other test prep. I passed the ACNP on first attempt (ANCC), I then bowered friend's old Fitzgerald FNP (without the CDs) and took ANCC FNP and passed on 1st attempt. Now 10 years later, I am retaking the the ACNP ANCC exam again (lapsed). I first got the Barkley ACNP review (CDs and booklet) but felt like there was not enough depth, because I have not been in school for 10 years, I am having to relearn a lot of this material. (Stuff you don't see all the time in your practice). So I got the Fitzgerald since I have a proven tract record with Fitz. I find Sally Miller more enjoyable than Thomas Barkley and her pearls stick in my brain more, because she goes deeper in her explanation, you have more of an understanding. Anyway, this is my review. The real test will be if I pass. I am willing to sale either review after I test in 3 weeks.

Lubbock,

I sent you a private message regarding what is the price you are seeking for Fitzgerald?

Thanks!

Hi haels,

i graduate in August. I'm going to keep the book and CDs. I saw some used ones being sold on Amazon a while back. Good luck to you too!

I have the Fitz Adult Geri Acute NP board cert CD's and accompanying book for sale. The book that goes with the CDs is completely untouched (as they sent me two by mistake). I also have the Barkley Adult Geri Acute NP board cert CDs and booklet but the book has been marked in a lot. I can sell together or separate.

Hello Everyone,

Have anyone taken the new 2016 AANP exam? I sat for it early January and was not successful, I am due to retest in the next three months and i'm literally freaking out, If you recently took the AANP exam can you please share your thoughts, what are the new changes? It will help relieve my anxiety, thanks in advance.
