ANCC Psychiatric NP/CNS Examination Prep- please help.
- 0Dec 29, '12 by FutureCNSHello all!
I will hopefully be graduating with my Psych/ Mental health CNS degree in May 2013. I would like to begin to prepare myself for the exam. I am planning on taking the ANCC review course this Feb. But I was wondering what your thoughts were regarding the ANCC, FHEA, and Barkley review course. They guarantee a 99% pass rate but many people have stated they failed in the pass. Does anyone know I can purchase used copies of the Psych NP CD for any of these programs? Any suggestion helps! Thanks!
- 0Jan 13, '13 by Miss PsychNPThis may not be very helpful...I took the ANCC adult psych NP in 06, family psych in 09 (ANCC) and FNP in 11. I did not use a study guide for the adult, ANCC guide but no review course for the family psych and review book for the FNP and passed all three on the first try.
If you like study groups, ANCC or Berkley my be helpful. Most of my colleagues took those review courses and passed...some failed but I dont think it was attributed to the content of the study guide. I worked full-time and did not have the time to attend a review course. I think you just need to go on the website to either to buy the CDs. They can be a bit pricey but may be worth the investment.
