I have an interview in a detox receiving center on Wednesday. This is my first interview for my first nursing job. I was just wondering if any of you could tell me what it might be like. I mean the job.

Nov 8, '12 by garnetgirl29I interviewed today with a detox center, too. It went really well & if they hire me, this will be my first job as well. The director told me my duties would be passing meds, assessments, handling walk-ins, phone referrals, admits, discharges, charting, etc. It sounded pretty chaotic and like there would be a lot of multi-tasking, but she said they will allow me to shadow a nurse for up to a month, until I feel ready to work on my own. She had a couple other interviews, so I'm hoping she hires me!
