Curriculum Design Issues

Hello everyone,
I am in an MSN program and I need help from my fellow Graduate nurses.
The assignment was to interview a curriculum coordinator and ask her what one curriculum design issue in her program. Well, she named "credit allocations" were not working...Foundations was 2 c; community was 8 c, and physiology was 5c.
Now I have to write a research paper (25%) on a"curriculum design issue in higher ed.) (nursing) AND propose a solution .
I cannot find any literature on this topic.

Any suggestions on what current issues are? I do not work in Ed. or in a clinical setting.
