I feel this way as well.

Critical thinking? What's that?

Well sure, there's critical thinking and superstition. And then there is observation, when it seems like every month during the full moon, the dung hits the fan, without fail. I can't tell you the amount of times I have wanted to pull my hair out, patients driving us NUTS, sundowners galore. Go get a breath of fresh air (and let out a couple good shouts) and lo-and-behold, full moon in the sky...

full moon=night shift. nothing special

Meh, I work nights. Some full moons, everything's fine, while on others, the shift is crazy for everyone. I guess I'll remain agnostic regarding the moon's effect.

(By the way, the word "lunatic" comes from the Latin word for "moon". So maybe this is an older idea than it seems.)

As an ER nurse we definitely saw more weird stuff during full moon--or had a "never stop running" type of caseload.  Could be coincidence, who knows.

We also ranch.  There is actual statistical data on our ranch that a full moon will cause cattle to give birth.  We calve March-May. We can get as many as 8 calves on the ground on a full moon.  Usually its 3-4 daily.
